A Berry Beautiful Day For A Picnic!

The yummy ripe red strawberries that adorn the picnic basket are from Impression Obsession's Strawberry Die Set
I have used the Woven embossing folder which gives the basket great detail and depth. Pan Pastels were sponged into the groves for definition.

The picnic basket measures about 5 1/2" in length, 3 3/4" wide and 3 1/2" tall. There are several tutorials out there for making these baskets. I used this one from Stempeleinmaleins and tweaked it a little.
The handles are moveable and the lid also lifts!
This makes for a perfect functional basket for holding cards or special treats!

The beautiful blossoms on the backside of the picnic basket are also part of the same IO Strawberry die set. I added a little color to the center of the flowers using Copics.

The simple card fronts were made using the cut-a-parts and papers from Authentiques-Cheerful Paper collection.

For the inside of the cards I have used stamps from the Farm Fresh Cling Set.

Thanks for looking!

I have two cards to share with you today.
Both images are by Lindsay Ostrom. Her designs are playful and so much fun to color! Perfect for the challenge, Summertime Fun!
Play along in the IO Challenge for a chance to win a $25 IO Gift Certificate. Be sure to use Io stamps or dies, snap a shot and link up! You don't have to have a blog to play. All the details can be found here on the IO Blog.

Ready for some inspiration from the IO Girls?

The Paradise Square has been colored with Copics and paired with some summer beach paper. The card is a 3 by 3 square.

Live in the Sunshine was stamped on the inside.

I had a few extra fish that were stamped and fussy cut from a previous card.
The wreath was made by stamping, "Fishy Fishy" in the round and adding those fish.
The sign is so true..."Everything's Better at the Lake"!

Thanks for looking!

Sunshine, Vacation time and crafting!
If you live near or visiting the Atlanta area, Impressive Ideas is one of the stops you don't want to miss. It is so much more than just a store!

Here are a few cards made using Whipper Snapper images and, of course, all the goodies you need to make these are in stock!

Harley loves donning the surf shirts and shades!
Papers are from Bo Bunny-Beach Therapy.

Adorable, right?!
Ivan is sporting the colorful beach wrap and ready for some beach ball games!
The sequins and rivets are from Queen and Co. and design paper is Photo Play-Summer Dreams.

No need to be crabby, you are at the beach where everything is better!
The Beach Crab was colored with Copics and fussy cut along the top line of the image. The crab was stamped again, fussy cut and popped for dimension. Mini Shell die cuts are from Impression Obsession.

Kick back, relax on the Adirondack chair!
The 3-D die from Sizzix is super cute and easy to assemble.
This would make great party favors, invites, (info on back of chair), place cards...
or just a sweet way of saying, you are a life saver!
The fish die cuts on back of chair are from Impression Obsession-Mini Nautical Set.

Thanks for looking and hope to see you at Impressive Ideas!

I adore this sweet image of the cat curled up on the comfy quilt. With the 4th of July coming soon, I decided to make "Cat Nap" into a patriotic card!
The cat has been embellished with a red ribbon tied around his collar.

Here's some background inspiration from the SSDT
Karen Amidon...that's me!

The, "And I Think" stamp has been a favorite.
It was stamped in Blueberry ink from MFT.

The bg was created with the "Puff" from the Summer Flower Pops stamp set.
They were stamped in Red Hot and the Blueberry ink.
The MISTI made it possible for stamping over the first image using Versamark and then heat embossing with Rangers Holographic ep.
The bg reminds me of fireworks!
