G45 EXPLOSION BOX

HALLOWE'EN IN WONDERLAND!

Time for some fun with G45's Hallowe'en in Wonderland Collection.
There are many layers and fun details to share in this explosion box.
LOTS of pictures so I will keep the words short!

Box top.
The silver tea set is from Fab Scraps.
Nested behind the G45 keys is a tea pot that is a die cut from Taylored Expressions.

Spoons have been bent and curved to make the handles.

Several of the images have an extra layer of fussy cutting. These pieces have been rounded with a ball stylus and silicone was used for keeping their dimension.
Craft foam is a great way to pop up extra layers, keeping them solid.

We can't be late!
Tiny silk bows were tied using a baby fork!

Let the tea party begin!
Off with the box top!

"At Last! We Thought You'd Never Arrive"
I'm sure with all the pictures so far... you didn't either!

To create the scene for the center of the box I made a keyhole and added vellum.
The Leafy Branch from Impression Obsession was die cut to make the tree. Foliage around the base and the tree were heat embossed to add durability.

Another birds eye.

Backside of the keyhole.
Queen & Company Bitty Beads fill the mini bottles from Idea-ology.

Gotta love that mischievous grin on The Cheshire Cat!

 Was he really late?
Love the findings of the timepiece for The White Rabbit.

At the tea party.
Does The Mad Hatter really get a silver spoon?

Frog-Footman is delivering the letter to the duchess...I opened it!

The second layer which is under the center box.

At Last, The Red Queen of Hearts!

Thank you for taking the time to look!
You can find all the materials needed to create this box and more at Impressive Ideas, where it is also on display!

IMPRESSION OBSESSION CHALLENGE!

Oooh Baby!
Happy Thursday and welcome to Impression Obsession's new challenge, Oh Baby!
Play along by designing with IO stamps or dies for a chance to win a $25 IO gift certificate. It's easy to join in. Create, snap a shot, and link up. Need help or new to challenges? All the guidelines and info can be found on the IO Blog.

In addition to our challenge, IO will be having a one day hop on Monday July 11 featuring designs made with NEW dies. If you can't wait until then...they are ALL available now here at IO

Designs from the IO Team

This adorable Patchwork Elephant is one of the NEW dies from IO. Check out the fun print on him. The design has been stamped in white ink with one of the three stamp designs that come in the Mini Patterns 2.

The parts of the elephant are separate dies as you can see here. This really makes for fun possibilities with mixing the stamp patterns and using silicone to give it dimension.

Isn't this a cute font?
I have used baby and congrats from the Congrats Word Set.
The stars were die cut from Patchwork Elements. Love the stitching on all these elements. The other stars are from the All-In-One Frames Circles.

Thanks for looking and hope to see you back for the HOP!

SSCB #57 JUST ADD WATER!

Splish-Splash it's summertime and all you need to do is, "Just Add Water" to play in the  Serendipity Stamps challenge. Design with SS stamps or dies and create anything that is associated with water! All the details on how to play along in the challenges can be found here on the SSCB

If you haven't heard...Serendipity has two new very talented gals on the DT.
Please give a BIG welcome to Patti and Carol!

Here's some inspiration from all the gals at SSDT!

The Triton Shell has been stamped onto glossy paper with a rich chocolate brown ink. Once the ink was dry, I masked the shell with Fineline Masking Fluid. Copic inks and blending solution were used to create the splashes of color. The masking glue rolls off easily when the inks have dried. This is a very simple technique and makes a beautiful bg for a card!

The same technique was used here on the Sea Horse. Around the top and backside of the Sea Horse I used the Copic Sketch markers to outline the body.

I had to get a little coloring time in so I've colored this darling image, that I love, of playing in the sprinkler. If you like it too...you are in luck!! The Sprinkler is 50% OFF for the whole month of July.
